Editing Global Rates

Over time, rates may change due to labor costs, inflation, or shop updates. Editing global rates ensures your pricing remains accurate and prevents technicians from using outdated rates.

Step-by-Step

  1. Navigate to Platform Settings → Global Rates.
  2. Scroll to find the Category you want to modify.
  3. Click the Edit button on the far right of that category.
  4. Choose one of the following actions:
    • Archive Category – Removes the entire category from use.
    • Update Description – Adjusts the overall details of the service group.
    • Add New Rate – Adds an additional line item to the category.
    • Archive Individual Rate – Makes a specific rate inactive but keeps it for recordkeeping.
  5. To add a new rate, click Add Rate, then enter:
    • Rate Name (e.g., Wheel Alignment Check)
    • Description (e.g., Inspect alignment and correct deviations)
    • Price (e.g., $150.00)
  6. Click Save or Commit to finalize changes.
  7. Verify your changes:
    • New rates appear at the bottom of the category list.
    • Archived rates are grayed out and marked as archived.
    • Technicians and dispatchers will no longer see archived rates when building estimates or invoices.
